Legal Issues in Today's Jails: Religious Programming

March 14 @ 12pm Eastern

This webinar will review the requirements of the First Amendment regarding religious exercise, specifically the First Exercise and the Establishment Clauses.  The primary focus however will be on the statutory requirements of RLUIPA, the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act in making determinations regarding religious accommodation in the facility.  Areas to be discussed include religious head coverings, diets, literature, services, religious accessories, chaplains, hair and beards to name just a few of the topics.
