Agency Assessments

The purpose of an Agency Assessment is to recognize the agency's current situation and procedures, and to develop promising practices of improvement.  Prior to a visit by NSA representatives, appropriate data will be requested of the agency for thorough review.  This will be followed by a visit to the agency to meet the Sheriff, senior staff members, personnel management and communications staffs, public information staff, etc.  At the conclusion of the assessment process, NSA will provide a written report.

An Agency Assessment may include, but is not limited to:

Court Security Assessment
Emergency Procedures
Jail Assessment
Physical Audit
Staffing Studies (sample report of patrol staffing needs)
Strategic Planning
Technical Assistance

To receive a proposal, including the cost, for your Agency Assessment, please contact Fred Wilson at (800) 424-7827 x322 or fwilson@sheriffs.org.
