NSA President Sheriff Craig Webre honors Director John Gillis, Office for Victims of Crime

At the Indy Conference, NSA President Sheriff Craig Webre honored John Gillis, Director of the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), with the presentation of a plaque in  appreciation of the many important contributions by Director Gillis to NSA and Sheriff's Offices.  As Chairman of the Crime Victim Services Committee, Sheriff Webre also spoke of the close working bonds between the Committee and OVC.  In fond words, Sheriff Webre attributed this relationship and NSA's successes in promoting crime victim services to the participation of Director Gillis in the national initiatives of NSA, as well as his personal encouragement to the local program staff of Sheriff's Offices.  The plaque reads:

IN APPRECIATION OF DIRECTOR JOHN GILLIS, OFFICE FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME, For His Support of the National Sheriffs' Association in the Establishment of the NSA Crime Victim Services Committee and the Annual NSA Crime Victim Services Award.  For His Commitment to the Ideals of NSA and His Participation in NSA Committee Meetings, Award Presentations, and Grant Project Activities.  For His Friendship to This Nation's Sheriffs and His Dedication to Working with NSA and Sheriff's Offices All Across the United States in Service to Crime Victims.  Presented this 28th Day of June, 2008 NSA Annual Conference, Indianapolis, Indiana, by Craig Webre, President, and Aaron D. Kennard, Executive Director.
