Free Training on Forensic DNA. The National Center for Victims of Crime is offering free training to help law enforcement officers interact effectively with crime victims on cases that involve forensic DNA and to help crime victims  and victim-serving professionals better understand the role of forensic DNA in criminal investigations. This training, "The CSI Effect: Maximizing the Potential of Forensic DNA," will be offered in Chicago on April 28 and in Washington, DC on June 25. The training covers: Innovations in forensic DNA; DNA profiles and CODIS; Helping victims understand forensic DNA; Laws governing forensic DNA; and Maximizing the potential for DNA technology.
