Price Discounts

The plan is simple. For every full-page, paid advertisement you run in Sheriff magazine, you'll get a 5% discount on one advertisement in either the NSA Sheriffs' Directory or the NSA Conference Program.

You plan to run only fractional advertisements? No problem! Tally up your fractional ads, and if they total a full page, (example: 1/2 page + 1/4 page + 1/4 page=FP), you're eligible for the same valuable discount.

General Rate Policy

Rates are based on the total number of insertions within 12 months of first insertion. Current advertisers are protected at contract rates for the period of the contract. Multiple year contracts honored at rates then prevailing.

Canceled contracts are subject to a cancellation fee of $150.00 per insertion not used. Short-rates advertisers will be rebilled at the earned frequency rate immediately following cancellation or curtailment of space contract.

Cover Premiums:

NOTE: Covers sold only on a non-cancelable contact.

Spreads - Earned rate plus applicable color premium. Center spread 4-color only.

Special Position - Guaranteed position, add 10%. All other positions are publisher's choice.

Inserts - Prepared inserts only. Prices for inserts vary depending on project specifications. Call NSA at 800-424-7827 x331 or x341 for details. Advertisers must submit a mock-up prior to closing date. No agency commission on inserts.

Agency Commissions - 15% agency discount awarded to all bonafide agencies. Agency commission withdrawn on invoices not paid within 30 days. For accounts delinquent after 90 days, all advertising will be canceled. Advertisers delinquent over 30 days will not be allowed to exhibit at the NSA Annual Conference & Exhibition.

Issue and Closing Dates - Published bimonthly at the end of the first month of issue. Closing date for insertion authorizations and ad mechanicals, see editorial calendar.

Cancellation Policy - Cancellations must be in writing. Cancellations not accepted after closing date. Covers are no cancelable. See "General Rate Policy."

Circulation - Established in 1948. Single copy $5.00; per year $30.00. Subscription included in annual dues of members. Rates based on circulation of 20,000.

Publisher - Published bimonthly by the National Sheriffs' Association, 1450 Duke Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314-3490; Edited for the profession to give up-to-date information on new developments and practices of the Office of Sheriff.
