NSA Introduces Newest Fellow

Border Patrol Agent Steven C. Cribby entered on duty with the U.S. Border Patrol on October 6, 2002.  Mr. Cribby started his career at the Chula Vista Border Patrol station in California and is currently assigned as an Assistant Chief at U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters in Washington D.C., detailed to the National Sheriffs' Association through their fellowship program.  His area of expertise is border security between the legal ports of entry.

In 2006 Mr. Cribby was promoted to Supervisory Border Patrol Agent, assigned to Fabens, Texas.  In 2008 Mr. Cribby was selected as an Operations Officer at Border Patrol Headquarters in Washington D.C.  While there he provided support and guidance to Border Patrol public affairs officers nationwide. In 2012 Mr. Cribby transferred to the Swanton Sector of the U.S. Border Patrol.  He rotated through several different assignments, including Supervisory Border Patrol Agent at the Richford, VT Border Patrol Station, before being promoted to Assistant Chief at U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters in 2019.

Prior to joining the Border Patrol, Mr. Cribby served seven years as a Police Officer in Maine and twelve years in the Army National Guard.  A native of Maine, Mr. Cribby received a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from the University of Southern Maine in Portland, Maine.
