National Sheriffs' Educational Foundation

The NSEF is a §501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

They keep you safe. Please help us keep them safe, too.

Right now, sheriffs have a desperate need for personal protection equipment for their deputies and personnel.

Many sheriff's offices are facing critical shortages in things like:

N95 masks
Disposable gowns
Eye protection
Disinfecting products, including hand sanitizer

Your donation to the National Sheriffs' Educational Foundation can help us provide them with the PPE they need now.

If your company is interested in providing PPE to sheriff's offices directly, please contact Lindsay Hopkins at lhopkins@sheriffs.org

The Foundation

The primary purpose of the National Sheriffs' Educational Foundation ("Foundation") is to provide grants, scholarships, distributions, loans, etc. on a non-discriminatory basis to eligible students and individuals studying law enforcement and crime prevention and affiliated courses at accredited educational facilities, colleges and/or universities.

In addition, the Foundation may provide other §501(c)(3) organizations and/or state sheriff associations with assistance, including funds to provide needy individuals or families who require immediate relief and economic assistance due to natural disasters (i.e. Hurricane Harvey), and/or due to local, state and national acts of terrorism.

DONATE TODAY

The Foundation will network and work collaboratively with similar profit and non-profit organizations and individuals to promote the public's awareness and education of law enforcement duties and in crime prevention matters, including programs such as Neighborhood Watch.

The Foundation will coordinate and/or collaborate with and support the efforts of individuals, groups and organizations who have similar non-profit §501(c)(3) tax-exempt goals and purposes.  This Foundation is organized and operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 ("Code"), as amended, and under the solicitation and charitable distribution laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

An Investment in the Future of the Foundation

A growing number of members and friends of law enforcement support the Foundation through financial or estate planning. This process is known as “gift planning” and the gifts are referred to as “planned gifts.” “Planned gifts” may be two types:

1) A one-time donation that is made:
  • Wills or Living Trusts
  • Retirement Plans
  • Life Insurance

Your proceeds of financial contributions are made to the Foundation which has §501(c)(3) nonprofit status and is tax deductible as allowed by law.  The Tax ID Number is 52-1100429.
