Statement from NSA President on Phoenix Shootings
Statement from NSA President, Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, on this morning's shootings:
"What we saw last night in Phoenix is just another example of the dangerous situations law enforcement officers face each day and the heroic actions that are needed to keep our communities safe.
Any overt act such as this needs to be addressed with swift and definitive prosecution. These cruel and cowardly acts are designed to unravel our society. We call for special federal prosecutorial latitude in any ambush-style assault on law enforcement. It is not just an attack to those wearing a uniform, but to our government institutions and our core beliefs in the rule of law."
