K9s For Cops Fundraiser Helps Polk County Sheriff's Office

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — An organization called K9s For Cops Polk County has raised nearly a quarter million dollars to help the Sheriff's Office purchase K9s.

Michelle Robare started the organization eight years ago as a way of helping law enforcement and to honor deputy Matt Williams and his K9 partner Diogi, who were killed in the line of duty in 2013.

On Saturday evening, the 13th anniversary of the killings, K9s for Cops held its annual fundraising dinner at the Lone Palm Golf Club.
