NSA provides programs for sheriffs, their deputies, chiefs of police, and other criminal justice professionals to perform their jobs in the best possible manner and to better promote homeland security and public safety in their jurisdiction.
NSA has consistently provided cost-effective and community-effective crime prevention materials for use by citizens and law enforcement.
NSA is committed to assisting local law enforcement in providing the best possible service to victims of domestic violence and other crimes. This page provides an overview of some of the ongoing initiatives at NSA, as well as current information on crime victim issues, events, and resources.
Triad works to reduce criminal victimization of older persons; improving quality of life for older adults; educating and involving the community in implementing solutions; and enhancing delivery of law enforcement services to the elderly.
NSA’s traffic safety department has the duty to perpetuate traffic safety issues, facilitate traffic safety program implementation, provide technical assistance to the office of sheriff and other agencies, and offer general support to the Office of Sheriff and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) staff in developing traffic safety plans that target NHTSA’s national traffic safety priority issues.
The National Law Enforcement Center on Animal Abuse was established to provide law enforcement officers information on the realities of animal abuse, and to promote their proactive involvement in the enforcement of animal abuse laws in their communities.
