Executive Director Jonathan Thompson Statement on Government Shutdown

November 4, 2025 – (Alexandria, V.A.) The National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) Executive Director and CEO Jonathan Thompson released the following statement regarding the continued government shutdown.

“We continue to believe this shutdown must end asap. The election is behind us, grants and essential needs remain unfulfilled. Our elected officials need to remember they work for the people not some greater political gamesmanship.”
