Guest Blog Posts Requirements

  • Must be current or retired member of a law enforcement agency.
    • Posting may be made anonymously, but author must identify him-/herself to NSA.
  • The piece must be the original work of the author.
  • The piece must not be used to advertise any product or service. For information about sponsored blog posts, please contact the YGS Group.
  • If the topic of your proposed blog post is on our list of legislative priorities, your blog post may require approval by select NSA staff, executive members, and/or board members.
  • Blog post must be between 500-1000 words. If you wish to write a longer piece, consider submitting to our bi-monthly magazine, Sheriff & Deputy.
  • Any images submitted with a blog post must be the property of either the author or available for usage without copyright restriction. If you would like to include an image, we have available images you may use online. You may choose to use one of those images.
  • Unless requested to be posted anonymously, each blog post will be accompanied by a brief bio of the author (written by you – no longer than 50 words) and the following disclaimer:
    • "This post is part of our guest blogging program. The thoughts, ideas, and opinions expressed in the post are not a reflection of the NSA, its staff, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, or its members."
