Bossier sheriff helps tornado victim
BOSSIER CITY, La. - Twenty-seven-year-old Tracey Jefferson not only lost his great-grandfather in the tornado that ripped through the Haughton area nearly two weeks ago, he also lost his home.
Bossier Sheriff’s Office presented him with a check for $500 Wednesday afternoon from “Friends of Bossier Law Enforcement,” funds that are donated by private residents to help support those in need in the community.
Tracey lived with 87-year-old Ira Jefferson at his residence on Davis Road, but he was not there the night of the tornado. His great-grandfather was injured that night and was hospitalized. However, three days later, he succumbed to his injuries.
